Lucifer Furnaces – Limited Warranty

Lucifer Furnaces (“Company”) warrants to the original purchaser (“Customer”) that the equipment it manufactures will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of shipment, provided the equipment is properly installed, operated, and maintained under normal operating conditions.

Definition of Normal Operating Conditions

Normal operating conditions are defined as:

  • Strict adherence to all installation, operation, and maintenance instructions provided in the Company’s manual;
  • Operating the equipment within 80% to 90% of its maximum rated temperature, unless otherwise authorized in writing by Lucifer Furnaces;
  • Use of appropriate and functioning overtemperature protection for any unattended operation.

Covered Components

This warranty applies to all components supplied by Lucifer Furnaces, including but not limited to:

  • Furnace body
  • Heating elements
  • Temperature controls (Honeywell and/or Eurotherm)
  • Thermocouples
  • Magnetic contactors
  • Hearth plates
  • Other standard components supplied by the Company

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not apply to:

  • Components not supplied by Lucifer Furnaces, including but not limited to third-party accessories, software, or customer-supplied parts and modifications;
  • Damage resulting from misuse, negligence, improper installation, unauthorized repairs or alterations, accidents, or operation outside of the defined normal operating conditions;
  • Normal wear and tear or consumable parts, where applicable;
  • Equipment that has been resold or transferred to a third party. This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

For third-party components included in the system but not manufactured by Lucifer Furnaces, the Company will assist the Customer in seeking warranty coverage from the original manufacturer. However, Lucifer Furnaces makes no additional warranties, express or implied, regarding these third-party components.

Warranty Claim Process

To initiate a warranty claim, the Customer must:

  • Notify Lucifer Furnaces in writing within the one-year warranty period;
  • Provide a detailed description of the defect along with supporting documentation if requested.

Lucifer Furnaces, at its sole discretion, will determine whether to:

  • Repair the defective component,
  • Provide a replacement part, or
  • Issue a credit.

Note: Warranty service does not include removal, reinstallation, or on-site labor unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Shipping and Replacement Policy

  • The Customer is responsible for shipping defective components to Lucifer Furnaces for evaluation unless otherwise agreed in writing;
  • Replacement parts may be shipped at the Customer’s expense, unless covered under an approved warranty claim;
  • Replacement parts or services provided under this warranty do not extend or reset the original warranty period.

Limitation of Liability

This Limited Warranty is the sole and exclusive remedy available to the Customer. It is provided in lieu of all other warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Under no circumstances shall Lucifer Furnaces be liable for any incidental, consequential, indirect, or special damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of use
  • Production downtime
  • Loss of business
  • Loss of profits

No extension, modification, or waiver of this warranty shall be valid unless made in writing and signed by an executive officer of Lucifer Furnaces.
